Red, White and Booze Jell-O Shots

Just in time for the 4th of July, we've got a heck of a recipe for the most patriotic Jell-O shots you've ever seen!

The red bits are made with Pickers Blood Orange Vodka and blue with Pickers Blueberry Vodka. The key to this stained glass effect is to make the red and blue first, allowing them to completely set before cutting them into small cubes and suspending them in a third recipe, made with Pickers Original Vodka and colored white with just a little sweetened condensed milk. So go ahead, make a batch of these and CELEBRATE!

1 box (3 oz) Strawberry Jell-O
1 cup Pickers Blood Orange Vodka
3/4 cup water
1 box (3 oz) Berry Blue Jell-O
1 cup Pickers Blueberry Vodka
3/4 cup water
1 cup Pickers Original Vodka
2 envelopes (.25 oz ea) unflavored Knox gelatin
1 cup water
1/8 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

Start by making the red layer. Begin by emptying the contents of the box of strawberry Jell-O into a small saucepan. Add 3/4 cup of boiling water and stir to dissolve. If the Jell-O does not dissolve, place the pan over medium heat and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and add vodka. Pour into a 9 inch square pan and place on a level surface in the refrigerator to set. Repeat the process using the berry blue Jell-O and Pickers Blueberry Vodka.

Once the red and blue layers are set, make the white gelatin by adding one cup of cold water to a small saucepan. Sprinkle in the contents of the gelatin packages and allow to absorb water for 2 minutes before placing over medium heat. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in Pickers Original Vodka and sweetened condensed milk. Let this cool to room temperature before proceeding.

Once the white gelatin has cooled, assemble the finished shots by cutting the red and blue layers into small cubes. Remove from pan and place into a bowl. Stir gently to mix. Pour in cooled white gelatin and transfer to a 9 inch square pan. Place on a level surface in the refrigerator overnight or until fully set. Warm the pan slightly with warm water an invert onto a cutting board. Cut into squares and serve.

Pickers Boo-Berry Ghost

Vampire's Blood (Orange) Martini

2 oz Pickers Blood Orange Vodka

1 oz Collins Cordials Triple Sec

.5 oz orange juice

chilled grenadine

In a shaker with ice, combine vodka, triple sec, and orange juice. Shake with ice. Carefully drizzle chilled grenadine around the rim of a martini glass (preferably also chilled or frozen) so that it runs down sides of glass into the center. Gently strain cocktail directly into the center of the glass, so it doesn't wash away the grenadine. Enjoy!

Caramel Apple Cooler

1 oz Pickers Vodka

1 oz Collins Cordials Sour Apple

1 oz Collins Cordials Praline

4 oz seltzer

Combine Vodka, Sour Apple, and Praline liqueurs in a tall glass with ice. Top with seltzer and enjoy!

Candy Corn Jelly Shots

2 cups Pickers Vodka
1/2 cup Collins Cordials Triple Sec
2 cups water
1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
5 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 T vanilla
red and yellow food coloring (not the gel type)

Lightly spray a 9-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Use a paper towel to evenly coat entire pan and remove excess.

Add water to medium saucepan and sprinkle with gelatin. Stir gelatin into water and turn burner on to medium heat. Whisk constantly until gelatin is completely dissolved and water is hot, but not boiling. Remove pan from heat and add vodka, triple sec, vanilla, and sweetened condensed milk.

Divide liquid into thirds (there should be about 6 cups total at this point). Pour one third of liquid into prepared pan, and place into refrigerator to set, about 45 minutes. In separate bowls, color remaining thirds of liquid. For orange, six drops of red coloring and twelve drops of yellow. For yellow, ten drops of yellow coloring (these can both be adjusted to suit your color palate).

Keep an eye on gelatin. As soon as the white layer is just set but still jiggly, gently pour orange batch on top, and return to refrigerator. Repeat this process with the yellow batch, and then allow to set for at least two hours. If the individual layers set too hard, they will not stick together properly.

After gelatin is firmly set, run a knife around the edge to loosen. Dip bottom of pan into warm water for about 10 seconds. Slice into 1 inch squares and remove from pan.
